This is showing off the Awesome Flickr Gallery. Many website choose to use Flickr to manage their images This gives them the SEO advantage of having their images on a site that is extremely popular with Google (though not as popular as Picasa, ahem). Additionally, the bandwidth is handled by Flickr, instead of your own website. This keeps things humming along. Hey, isn’t this Cloud Computing?! Uh, apparently it isn’t anything new.

The Photos

Jan Baby suggested a hike near Estes Park. After spending ten minutes Googling Rocky Mountain National Park hiking trails, arming ourselves with a camera and water bottle, off we went.

Estes ElkAs luck would have it, Saturday, October first was opening day of the Estes Park Elk Festival. We ended up enduring long lines of traffic as we crawled our way towards Estes Park. Eventually we arrived onto Colorado Highway 7, escaped the hoards of tourists and found a parking spot near the Pikes Peak trail head. After reading the signs and taking a quick tour of the pit toilets, we were on our way up the trail to the Eugenia Mine; a scant two miles away.

Yea, I know, it needs some styling, which would be done by a css talented web guy such as myself, if I weren’t so lazy. I’m the plumber who won’t fix his own leaky toilet.
